Huernias are native to southern and eastern Africa. They need to be kept dry in Winter, and should be allowed to dry out completely inbetween watering. They need a well-draining soil and protection from frost and direct sunlight. A bright shade is best. They produce fascinating flowers which smell of carrion to attracts flies! so they are probably best kept out of doors.
